CRT stands for Corneal Refractive Therapy and it is a non-surgical process clinically developed to reshape the cornea while you sleep.
CRT is a unique rigid gas permeable contact lens designed to temporarily correct myopia (nearsightedness) by gently and reversibly reshaping your cornea while you sleep. You then can go throughout the day without any lenses.
Not everyone can wear the CRT lenses. This lens is intended for individuals with low to moderate myopia. Over 90% of patients who wear these lenses achieve 20/40 vision or better. This allows you to legally drive without correction.
Most patients have a rapid improvement in the first few days of treatment and have achieved nearly the optimum vision within 10-14 days.
There is always a small risk when wearing any contact lens is worn. Studies have shown the CRT lenses present no more risk than any other contact lens.
